The Department of Foreign Languages of the Romanian-American University is pleased to welcome you to the 15th edition of our international conference:
Crossing Boundaries in Culture and Communication
which will take place both offline (RAU campus) and online (Zoom) on November 6-7, 2025.
The conference languages are Romanian, English, French, Spanish, German, or Italian, and the debates are organized in the following sections:
- linguistics / applied linguistics
- literature
- cultural studies
- translation studies
- foreign language teaching
- communication, media and arts
- intercultural management

We have the great pleasure to inform you that our Conference volume has been accepted in Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL) and is considered for inclusion in other relevant databases. See past volumes here.

October 20th, 2025 submission of abstracts
October 25th, 2025 confirmation of acceptance
October 30th, 2025 payment of registration fee *
November 6-7, 2025 proceedings of the conference
December 10th, 2025 submission of papers for the conference volume (to be published in January 2026)

After the conference, you will be further notified of the paper submission guidelines and you will be reminded the deadline for the publication in an ISSN volume.
The conference fee is 150 RON (40 Euro for foreign participants) per paper and it covers the conference organizing logistics and the publication of the paper in the conference volume.
