elena platonAssociate professor, Elena Platon, Ph.D., is head of the Department of Romanian language, culture and civilization and head of the Institute of Romanian Language as a European Language of the Faculty of Letters, Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca. The fields she is interested in are: ethnology, anthropology (religious social anthropology), the didactics of Romanian as a foreign or as a second language. She gives lectures and provides training courses in the didactics of Romanian as a foreign language to students enrolled in the MA program and to language specialists who teach Romanian (at primary, secondary or university level) to non-native speakers from Romania or from abroad. Moreover, she designed several courses of Romanian culture and civilization for students with different cultural backgrounds.
